Hope4Heroes: Hope4Heroes was founded by Veterans to support Veterans and families in the following program areas: Awareness in local communities,support chapters and volunteers nationwide, Emergency aid to families in crisis, Scholarships for the children of heroes, and partner relationships with Sister agencies to bring a full complement of resources to the table at all times to Tackle Veterans Employment issues.
We serve all veterans from all generations and all conflicts! As of today, over 300,000 OIF/OEF vets suffer from the issues listed above, 3,000 are homeless, and vet unemployment is higher than the national average. Additionally, 27 million of veterans and families from all conflicts suffer from the issues listed and thousands of their children need our support through scholarships.
As we enter 2011 we are expanding our focus areas to also include youth sports programs for impoverish kids via our Hope4kids program. Your support and donations of gently used sports equipment can make a lasting impact in the life of a child. Yes, poverty is a reality in America, just as it is for millions of other human beings on the planet. According to the US Census Bureau, 35.9 million people live below the poverty line in America, including 12.9 million children. These families and kids must choose food or shoes over sports in most cases. Yet sports programs keep kids off drugs and out of gangs according to most studies. Working with you we will tackel this issue head on at our games and through our events to give more kids HOPE!
